Depart from Mumbai by air for your exciting Japan adventure. Upon arrival at Narita International Airport, complete immigration and customs formalities. Tokyo – Nikko – Tokyo (Round Trip 300 km | Full Day Excursion)
After hearty breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to Nikko, a UNESCO World Heritage Site nestled in the mountains. Visit the magnificent Tōshō-gū Shinto Shrine, the final resting place of Tokugawa Ieyasu, featuring ornate gold leaf decorations, intricate wood carvings including the famous “Three Wise Monkeys,” and stunning architectural masterpieces. Together with Futarasan Shrine and Rinnō-ji Temple, these sacred sites form the Shrines and Temples of Nikkō UNESCO World Heritage complex with 42 historic structures.
Experience the breathtaking journey through Nikko’s ancient cedar forests, where autumn transforms the landscape into a spectacular canvas of crimson, gold, and amber hues. The mountain setting provides some of Japan’s most dramatic fall foliage, typically peaking in late October to early November.
Return to Tokyo in the late afternoon. Visit Odaiba Park, Tokyo’s futuristic waterfront district, and see the iconic Statue of Liberty replica with Rainbow Bridge and Tokyo skyline backdrop. Dinner at Indian restaurant.

Tokyo Metropolitan Sightseeing
After breakfast, enjoy comprehensive Tokyo city exploration. Ascend the iconic Tokyo Skytree (634 meters), Japan’s tallest broadcasting and observation tower. From the Observation Deck on the 450-meter-high Tembo Deck, marvel at breathtaking 360-degree panoramic views spanning the entire Tokyo metropolis, and on clear days, catch glimpses of Mount Fuji in the distance.
Visit the historic Asakusa Senso-ji Temple, Tokyo’s oldest and most colorful Buddhist temple founded in 628 AD. Walk through the famous Kaminarimon Gate with its massive red lantern and explore Nakamise Shopping Street, a 250-meter traditional shopping arcade lined with over 90 stalls selling traditional snacks, souvenirs, and handicrafts.
In the evening, experience the otherworldly teamLab Planets Tokyo, an immersive digital art museum where technology meets nature. Walk barefoot through water-filled rooms where koi fish swim around your feet, become one with blooming flowers in the Garden area, and lose yourself in infinite mirror installations. This “body immersive” museum comprises 4 large-scale artwork spaces and 2 interactive gardens, offering unforgettable photo opportunities and sensory experiences.

Tokyo – Gotemba (Mt. Fuji) – Hakone – Mishima – Nagoya (150 km road + 240 km bullet train)
After breakfast, depart for Mt. Fuji Heiwa Peace Park in Gotemba City, commanding spectacular views of Japan’s sacred mountain, Mount Fuji (3,776m). Visit the white Peace Pagoda (Stupa), which houses sacred Buddha relics presented by late Indian Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru, symbolizing the deep friendship between India and Japan. The park offers prime photo opportunities with Mt. Fuji’s snow-capped peak as backdrop.
Enjoy lunch at an Indian restaurant before proceeding to Hakone. Experience the dramatic Owakudani Boiling Valley (“Great Boiling Valley”), an active volcanic zone created 3,000 years ago by Mount Hakone’s last eruption. Walk through the otherworldly landscape where sulfurous steam vents and bubbling hot springs create an ethereal atmosphere. Don’t miss tasting the famous Kuro-tamago (black eggs) boiled in the sulfuric hot springs—local legend says eating one adds seven years to your life!
Take the exciting Hakone Ropeway cable car from Owakudani to Togendai, soaring over the volcanic valley with stunning aerial views of Lake Ashi and Mount Fuji (weather permitting). Spot colorful replica pirate ships sailing across Lake Ashi’s turquoise waters, adding a whimsical touch to the dramatic mountain scenery.
Proceed to Mishima Station and board the famous Shinkansen bullet train to Nagoya. Check into your hotel with packed dinner.

Nagoya – Kyoto Sightseeing – Okayama (135 km + 217 km by bullet train)
After breakfast, depart for Kyoto, Japan’s ancient imperial capital and cultural heart. Begin your full-day Kyoto exploration at the enchanting Arashiyama Bamboo Grove, where thousands of towering bamboo stalks create a serene, otherworldly pathway with filtered green light and rustling leaves creating natural music.
Walk across the historic Togetsu Bridge (Moon Crossing Bridge), a 155-meter wooden bridge spanning the Hozu River with magnificent views of Arashiyama’s mountains. This area showcases brilliant autumn colors with golden ginkgo and fiery red maples, making it one of Japan’s most photographed locations, especially stunning from late October through November.
After lunch, visit the magnificent Kiyomizu-dera Temple, a 1,200-year-old UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Japan’s most celebrated landmarks. The main hall’s massive wooden stage, constructed without a single nail using traditional Japanese joinery, projects 13 meters over the hillside offering spectacular views of Kyoto city below. The temple name means “Pure Water Temple,” derived from the sacred Otowa Waterfall where visitors drink from three streams, each granting different blessings (longevity, success, or love).
During autumn season (late November to early December), Kiyomizu-dera becomes absolutely spectacular as the surrounding valley explodes in brilliant reds, oranges, and yellows, with evening illuminations creating magical nighttime views.

Okayama – Hiroshima & Miyajima Island – Okayama (Round Trip 320 km)
After breakfast, journey to historic Hiroshima for a profound and moving city orientation tour. Visit the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum, offering powerful exhibits documenting the atomic bombing’s impact and humanity’s path toward nuclear disarmament. Walk through Peace Memorial Park with its contemplative gardens and monuments including the A-Bomb Dome (Genbaku Dome), the only structure left standing near the hypocenter, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site symbolizing peace.
Pay respects at the Cenotaph Memorial honoring all atomic bomb victims and see the Sadako Sasaki Monument with its thousands of colorful paper cranes, telling the poignant story of a young girl’s hope for peace and recovery.
Board a short scenic ferry ride to Miyajima Island (Itsukushima), one of Japan’s three most scenic locations and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Marvel at the iconic “floating” torii gate of Itsukushima Shrine, which appears to float on water during high tide, creating one of Japan’s most photographed and spiritual scenes. Okayama Sightseeing – Osaka (185 km)
After breakfast, discover the charms of Okayama. Visit the stunning Okayama Korakuen Garden, ranked among Japan’s three most beautiful traditional landscape gardens alongside Kenrokuen and Kairakuen. Originally constructed in 1700 for the feudal lord and renovated in 1863, this 13-hectare masterpiece features spacious lawns, tranquil ponds, walking trails, tea houses, and seasonal flowers with Okayama Castle providing a dramatic backdrop.
