Want us to call you?
182 meters of bronze rises straight out of the Narmada plains, taller than the Statue of Liberty by more than double, and nothing about photographs of Sardar Patel’s statue actually prepares you for standing at its base. A few hours later, you’re walking through Laxmi Vilas Palace, four times the size of Buckingham Palace, where Gaekwad royalty once hosted maharajas under Indo-Saracenic domes.
This is Gujarat’s strongest short-break combination, and it works precisely because the logistics are tight: Kevadia’s attractions spread across a large complex with timed entries, VIP passes that need advance booking, and a riverside evening at Poicha that most rushed itineraries skip entirely.
Samisha Holidays runs this Statue of Unity tour package from Pune as a fully managed 4-day escape — VIP tickets secured in advance, pure vegetarian meals throughout, and deluxe AC accommodation at every stop. You focus on the scale of it all. We handle everything else.
Tour Highlights

Itinerary (Day Wise)
Arrival sets a gentle tone before the grandeur of Kevadia takes over tomorrow. Poicha sits quietly on the Narmada's banks, home to Neelkanth Dham, a sprawling temple complex built with intricate carvings and a calm that settles in almost immediately after the journey. As evening falls, join the riverside Aarti — lamps, chanting, and the Narmada flowing past in the half-light. Check into your deluxe AC hotel, with a pure vegetarian dinner waiting.
Today is the heart of the trip. Enter through VIP access, skipping the long general queues, and ride the high-speed elevator straight to the Viewing Gallery at 153 meters — Sardar Patel's shoulder height — for a sweeping view across the Sardar Sarovar Dam and the Satpura and Vindhya ranges meeting on the horizon. Spend the afternoon exploring the museum beneath the statue, tracing the story of India's unification under Patel's leadership. A jungle safari inside the Statue of Unity complex adds wildlife sightings to the historical weight of the day. As night falls, the laser show lights up the statue and dam against the dark sky, sound and color choreographed into a genuinely moving spectacle.
A different pace today, built around Kevadia's lesser-known but equally striking gardens. Walk through the Miyawaki forest, a dense mini-jungle grown using a Japanese afforestation technique, then the Cactus Garden's stark desert beauty, followed by the Butterfly Garden's fluttering bursts of color. The Aarogya Van rounds things off with medicinal plants and Ayurvedic greenery, each one labeled and explained. As the sun drops, board the dinner cruise on the Narmada — a vegetarian spread served on deck while the Statue of Unity glows in the distance, the water turning gold and then black as the evening deepens.
The final day belongs to Vadodara's royal history. Laxmi Vilas Palace, still home to the Gaekwad family, opens its grounds to reveal Indo-Saracenic architecture on a genuinely palatial scale, complete with mosaic floors, Belgian stained glass, and a private golf course on the property. The adjoining museum houses royal armory, sculptures, and portraits spanning generations of Gaekwad rule. Wrap up with lunch before transferring out for your onward journey home, carrying back a trip that moved from ancient temple aartis to modern engineering marvels to royal Gujarat in just four days.
