Morning starts at the Kohima War Cemetery, a quietly powerful tribute to soldiers of the 1944 Battle of Kohima, manicured lawns and rows of headstones set against a hillside view. Leave Majuli by ferry and head toward Kaziranga, arriving in time for an afternoon jeep safari through the park.
