Hanoi’s French-colonial lanes give way to Da Nang’s mist-wrapped mountain peaks, which give way again to Saigon’s relentless, motorbike-driven energy. North to Central to South, this is Vietnam refusing to repeat itself even once across seven days. One morning you’re gliding past Ha Long Bay’s limestone karsts on a cruise deck. Three days later, you’re crouched inside the Cu Chi Tunnels, narrow underground passages that once sheltered an entire resistance movement.
Covering all three regions properly means internal flights, multiple hotel changes, and a logistics chain that has zero room for error if everything’s going to connect smoothly.
Samisha Holidays runs this Vietnam tour package 6N/7D from Pune as a fully coordinated cross-country circuit, internal domestic flights, hotel transitions, and ground transport all arranged in advance from Maharashtra.

Itinerary (Day Wise)
Land in Hanoi and head straight into the city's layered history. Ba Dinh Square sets a solemn tone at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, while the nearby One Pillar Pagoda offers a quieter contrast, perched delicately above a small lotus pond. The Temple of Literature, Vietnam's first national university dating back to 1070, reveals centuries of scholarly tradition through weathered stone stelae and quiet courtyards. Wrap up at Hoan Kiem Lake before wandering into the Old Quarter's tangle of narrow lanes. The evening's Water Puppet Show closes the day, puppeteers performing waist-deep in water to tell centuries-old Vietnamese folk tales.
A few hours' drive brings you to Ha Long Bay, where thousands of limestone karsts rise straight out of emerald water in a UNESCO World Heritage seascape that shifts character with every turn of the boat. Explore a cave system carved into one of the karsts, its chambers opening into unexpectedly vast caverns. Kayaking or a bamboo boat ride at sea level brings you close enough to the limestone walls to feel the scale of it properly.
A short domestic flight transitions you from North to Central Vietnam. The Marble Mountains rise abruptly from the coastal plain, their caves housing Buddhist sanctuaries carved directly into the rock, with viewpoints over Da Nang's coastline from the higher ledges. A scenic boat ride through the Bay Mau Coconut Forest adds a slower, river-level perspective before you reach Hoi An Ancient Town, its lantern-lit streets and the iconic Japanese Covered Bridge making for one of Vietnam's most photogenic evenings, especially once the lanterns switch on at dusk.
Ba Na Hills delivers one of the day's biggest visual payoffs almost immediately. The world's longest single-track cable car lifts you through cloud cover, temperatures dropping noticeably the higher you climb, until the Golden Hand Bridge appears, two giant stone hands cradling a walkway suspended above the misty hillside. The French Village at the summit adds a strange, almost theatrical European backdrop, complete with a recreated castle and cobblestone streets, all sitting improbably atop a Vietnamese mountain.
Another short domestic flight drops you into South Vietnam's energy, Saigon's traffic and skyline announcing a completely different pace from the north. Notre Dame Cathedral's red-brick towers and the nearby Central Post Office, designed in French colonial style, add architectural elegance to the city's busy streets. The War Remnants Museum follows, its exhibits offering a sobering, unfiltered look at the human cost of the Vietnam War.
Crawl through sections of the Cu Chi Tunnels, the underground network that sheltered resistance fighters during the war, narrow and low enough to make you appreciate the conditions people once lived through here. In the afternoon, shift gears entirely with a Mekong Delta river cruise, gliding past floating markets and riverside villages, with stops for tropical fruit tastings fresh off local farms.
A final morning at Ben Thanh Market, Saigon's bustling hub for lacquerware, silk, coffee, and street snacks, before transferring to the airport for departure. Seven days, three regions, and a complete cross-section of Vietnam's history, mountains, and rivers covered without a single rushed connection.
